The Genius In All Of Us Blog links to an interesting story about perfect pitch in kids raised with tonal vs. non-tonal languages.
If I heard it correctly, they did a study of kids that started music at ages 4-5 in China and the US, and testing them later found that 70%+ of the Chinese kids had perfect pitch vs. 11% of the U.S. kids. Wow! That's a big difference.
